project overview
Digital Bridge is a guerilla marketing campaign meant to raise awareness about CODE Live, a branch of the Cultural Olympiad’s Digital Edition during the Olympics. It was created for a Centre for Digital Media course, Building Virtual Worlds.

The Digital Bridge campaign consisted of a simple website, promotional video and social media involvement.
responsibilities
Web Programmer / Designers
For the Digital Bridge project, I worked alongside Al Sinoy to design and develop the website for the Digital Bridge project. Where Al handled the finder details of the scripting, I managed the style and design of the site as well as the implementation of the mobile version of digitalbridge.ca.
debrief
The resulting site, while lacking in wow factor and advanced scripting, was fairly successful. We were often tempted to develop more features and add to the complexity of the project, but ultimately held back. The clean design and informational structure that had been our goal from the onset resulted in a sharp and effective site that would have felt cumbersome and overwhelming to the casual Internet surfer. In this, we gained a greater appreciation for simplicity of design and how it fits within digital media design processes.
